On October 3, 2018, Indiana University named the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies. This historic announcement kicked off a $25M fundraising campaign to support the Global Scholars Leadership Program and the establishment of two endowed faculty positions: the Lee H. Hamilton Global Political Leadership Scholar and the Richard G. Lugar Political Leadership Scholar.
Built around Rep. Hamilton and Sen. Lugar’s foreign policy legacies in areas such as homeland security, nonproliferation, food security, and free trade, these endowed faculty positions will enable the Hamilton Lugar School to appoint two foreign policy figures to join the faculty on a visiting or rotating basis.
These esteemed practitioners will both teach and deliver public lectures, benefitting our students, faculty, and entire campus community.
