Samson Lotven received a B.A. in French from the University of Missouri, as well as an M.A./Ph.D. in Linguistics from Indiana University. His research focuses on the description and analysis of undocumented languages as well as on community engagement in science. In addition to working with languages from West Africa and Burma/Myanmar, Samson has taught language and linguistics in France, Korea, Vietnam, and the U.S.
