Apply for the opportunity to attend the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change meetings in November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan (COP29) with the IU delegation!
During the Fall 2024 semester, students will participate in a seminar structured around the Articles of the Paris Agreement and navigating the UNFCCC meetings, as well as Emirati culture and environmental policy. Students will hone expertise in a selected climate topic, prepare literature reviews and white papers, and then travel to the 29th Conference of Parties* in Baku where they will conduct observations and interviews with climate negotiators.
Students will be required to enroll in INTL-I 434/525 during Fall 2024 and an additional 1-credit study abroad class.
