Hamilton Lugar School graduate students can explore nearly 50 pathways, including masters degrees, certificates, and PhD programs, as well as dual degree options in collaboration with professional schools at IU. Our broad, transdisciplinary approach is particularly beneficial for doctoral students, who can also pursue pursue minors and certificates in a diversity of fields.
The Hamilton Lugar School and Indiana University teach more than 80 languages—the most in the United States. We also lead the country in available Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships. FLAS fellows receive generous stipend and tuition benefits. These prestigious awards support the development of cultural fluency and global expertise in nearly every area of the world, including Russia, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
