Pathway 1: For students applying to the HLS Internship Placement Program, the Tobias Center Scholarship is included in the application. There is no need to complete a separate application.
Pathway 2: For students seeking a scholarship for an internship that is not part of the HLS Internship Placement Program, please follow the application process listed below.
- Complete the online application form at the link below.
- Provide the name and email address for one faculty member at IU who you would like to use as a reference. Please ask the faculty member if they would be willing to be your reference. Letters of recommendation are not required nor encouraged for the initial application process. References are only contacted later in the application process.
- The application form requires documentation of your summer internship opportunity, including the time frame of the internship, any compensation you will receive, and what your general responsibilities will be. Be sure to have a letter from the organization at which you will be interning available before starting the application process.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants will be evaluated based on the degree to which their internship will equip them with skills to pursue a career in international development. In-person experiences will receive priority, as well as internships that relate to the Tobias Center's goal of increasing the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation measures.
