Pre Departure Resources
Applying for a Passport
If you do not have a passport, or if your passport will expire within six months of traveling abroad, you should apply for one as soon as possible.
Health and Safety Abroad
Visit the IU Travel Clinic
The IU Travel Clinic offers a full range of vaccines and other preventive medications necessary for your time abroad. You must make an appointment to be seen at the travel clinic. We recommend that you come in four to six weeks before your departure date.
International Health Insurance
All students participating in a Hamilton Lugar School education abroad program will be enrolled in a group health insurance plan through Indiana University's provider, GeoBlue.
