Hamilton Lugar Themed Series

The Indiana University Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies is proud to announce its 2025–26 themed event series, designed to foster critical dialogue on pressing international issues. This year’s programming spans three major themes—Security, Human Rights, and Global Culture through Film—and features a robust calendar of lectures, workshops, and screenings open to the public.

“At the Hamilton Lugar School, we believe that understanding the world’s most pressing challenges requires more than classroom learning—it demands dialogue, diverse perspectives, and real-world engagement,” said Dean John Ciorciari. “This yearlong series on security, human rights, and global culture reflects our commitment to preparing students and the broader IU community to think critically, act ethically, and lead globally.”
